CFP® AEP® CeFT® CPWA® AIF®, Co-Founder

Jean Arias has pursued her passion for serving others in the financial services industry since 1979, continuing a legacy of care learned from her parents.

“In my early years, my parents ran an ambulance service and funeral home in a small rural community,” she recalls with a laugh. “When families were in crisis, each of us was expected to help in some way.” From that experience, Jean learned to serve others in time of need. “When people learn about my background,” she explains, “they understand my passion to help.”

Jean is supremely prepared to serve. She pursues mastery in her work and holds professional certifications in her field including Certified Financial Planner® and CeFT® (Certified Financial Transitionist), a highly specialized discipline of assisting individuals through life events with financial impact. Her partners describe her as both meticulously detailed and an articulate communicator.

Jean spent 17 years with a major financial institution before joining Morgan Keegan (now Raymond James) in 1996. In 2006, Jean joined Polly Moore and Lori Gann Morris to form Arias Moore & Gann. In 2018 she became one of the founding partners of AMG Wealth Advisors. In addition to being a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Financial Transitionist®, Jean holds designations including Accredited Estate Planner®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary®. Jean’s specialty is retirement and estate planning, guiding clients through the complexities of the planning process. Her specialty is working with families for the transfer of intergenerational wealth and is uniquely positioned to assist those who are anticipating or experiencing changes in their life as a result of marriage, divorce, life-altering illness, loss of a loved one or aging parents.

Jean is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Economics. Jean and her husband Mike have three children, three grandchildren, two Pugs, and two Boston Terriers. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with family, watching old movies, fishing in Rockport, and getting lost in a good book.
